If you haven’t seen this collection hit the world of blogging I have no idea where you have been hiding but good news! Today I’m giving you my thoughts on the *enter the sound of angels singing* Toofaced Sweet Peach collection. I have 5 products from their range to review for you today so stick around to hear all about them.
I have three of these from the collection of 8 shades they have in this range. I have been itching to try these and the curiosity really has struck me with them after hearing great things. I really wasn’t expecting these to be pigmented at all but was taken by quite the surprise to find them really lovely and colourful! Not to mention the adorable packaging with the little peach placed on the top of the applicator lid and the subtle peach scent that lingers on your lips. I found they lasted strongly for around two hours on the lips colourwise but once the colour had faded I was still impressed to find that my lips still had a moisturising effect that lasted the whole day. The colour range is perfect for summer with gorgeous bright corals, milky pinks, oranges and pops of pink. £16 for a TooFaced product isn’t at all bad and I have seen lip products retail for far more, I will happily pay £16 to expand my shade collection.
Pure Peach* – This is what I would consider mainstream pink. When you think of a pink lip product this would be the shade you’d see. It’s perfect for everyday wear and it’s so hydrating and c’mon, it tastes like peaches!
Peach Fuzz* – This is the softest pink out of the three I have it’s a light peach pink with a milky colouring. I’d describe it as strawberry milkshake coloured! It’s got a cream finish with a lovely hydrating shine.
Poppin’ Peach* – This is by far the most pigmented of the three and the brightest colour. It’s a beautiful coral orange shade. If you have ever seen Topshop Charmed it’s the same colour…in gloss format!
I have to hand it to TooFaced, they do a damn good job at reeling people in with their choice of names for their products and their shades! The moment this hit the shelves I was lusting after it for the simple fact of its name! Who doesn’t want a blush named Papa Don’t Peach! It makes me giggle every time I open this beauty!
None bloggers will look at your blush collection and the words ‘but they all look the same?’ will escape their mouths. Cue a dramatic gasp and plenty of explanations and swatches explaining just how different they all are and just how much you love each one like they are your own child. Papa Don’t Peach is no different, it’s totally different from any shade I have ever owned before and it’s a really warm, bronze toned blush that gives me a lovely summer glow.
It has a slight shimmer to it but nothing at all that I would describe as chunky, sparkly or glittery its just got enough shimmer to give a glow to your cheeks. It’s so easy to pick the product up on this lovely soft formulation and it’s beautifully flattering on my pale NW10 skin. For you darker skinned girls I also tried this on my mum who is mac NW25/30 and this is equally as beautiful. This is hands down a summer essential product that looks adorable sitting amongst my collection!
Now the price point…This is a £25 blush so a similar price to the Illamasqua Blushers which are 4.5g and the TooFaced blusher is 9g. So you get more product in the TooFaced one and I think it’s pretty good value for money for a high-end blusher.
The palette contains a highlighter, blush and a bronzer in three beautifully designed pans. The product lasted a good 9 hours on my face without colour fading and all the shades blended together so beautifully. If you have a darker skin tone the blush might not be your favourite thing as it’s quite a light peachy pink. I also wanted to point out the blush shade in this palette is not the same as the Papa Don’t Peach blush.
Highlighter – It’s a golden champagne shade with warm undertones and a beautiful metallic sheen to it. It was really easy to pick up the product and made my whole face glow.
Blusher – This is such a lovely glowing coral pink with a golden hue to it. It has buildable coverage but even a light wash of colour from this product is beautiful and really adds to a makeup look. I did find it a little harder to pick up product with a fluffy brush so I switched to a denser blush brush and it applied like a dream!
Bronzer – This is a lovely soft bronzer perfect for paler skin tones and has a beautiful gold undertone which really brightens up the face. It was so easy to blend out and have a more sheer bronze finish or I could easily build it up to make it more opaque!
Wouldn’t it have been cool if TooFaced had released a foundation in this range? Who wouldn’t want a foundation that makes your face smell like peaches! TooFaced, please make it happen!
From bottom to top: Papa don’t peach blush, highlighter (palette), blush (palette), Bronzer (palette), Poppin’ peach, peach fuzz, pure peach.
That’s all the products I own from the TooFaced Sweet Peach Collection and the next beauty I will be picking up is the Sweet Peach Palette because everyone is raving about it and I need to add it to my collection pronto!
