July 2017 || Half Year Blog Goals

Well we have passed the halfway point and have reached the middle of 2017 already. Can you believe that in 6 months time we will all be welcoming in 2018! The years seem to get faster and faster the older I get and I use this blog as something to look back on in a few years to come so I thought it would be nice to mark the middle of the year with a few goals, predictions and other aims to do with my life and blogging. I’m super goal orientated so it’ll be nice to have a list of things to work towards!

Lose A Stone | Well technically it’ll be a stone and abit and it may seem a little ambitious but I hit an all time low with my body confidence over the last few months to the point I was wearing tops three times the size that I am to try and hide a multitude of sins. I decided enough was enough and went on a wild rampage around my kitchen and threw out every bit of crap I was using to comfort eat my feelings away. I have been ‘cleaner’ eating for three weeks now and I just hit me 8.7lbs loss so I’m well on my way to my first stone loss! However, I would like to lose another stone by the time the year is up. I won’t be upset if I don’t hit that target but I’m certainly aiming towards it!

Drive Somewhere New On The Motorway | I have finally been on the motorway as a driver for the first time now! It was probably one of the most terrifying yet proud moments of my life managing to drive to Blackpool. I’m still very much in the mindset of ‘I dont know that place I can’t drive there’. As a somewhat still pretty new driver. I want to plan a weekend away, a day out or just something that’s a little further away from home to push myself out of my comfort zone. Perhaps I’ll take Lilly to Blue Planet or the zoo or something!

Go On A Date | This to me is the most terrifying thought. I don’t know why I’m so uncomfortable meeting people. I get all hot and sweaty and my heart races and I just freeze up and not to mention I’m incredibly awkward and shy but it’s a fear I need to get over. I’m adding this one to the list as I’ve never been on a date in my life and I really need to get out there and meet people, do things and get to know other people even if nothing comes of it! This one for me will be the least achievable which to some of you guys will seem ridiculous compared to the ambitious things I have on this list but it highlights just how scared it makes me!

Fashion Shoots For Bloggers! | It’s a win win really! I want to grow my photography portfolio and have some more adult photography work in there. Most of my portfolio is newborns and children but it’s time to expand and try new things. I want to meet more bloggers and do more things and visit new places and shoot locations so if you are in/around greater Manchester or you can get to me and would like to work something out then message me on Twitter (@tt_mirror). I get to grow my portfolio and you get free images to use on your blog! This has been a goal of mine for a long time now but I was always a little to shy to bite the bullet!

Blogging isn’t about numbers, I know that, you know that and we all know that. The numbers don’t matter – the engagement does! It’s still nice to set yourself those little goals, the little motivations that keep you plodding along and to keep up the energy across your social media channels. I’ve set some individual goals for each social media platform down below too!

Be More Active On Twitter | It’s very unusual of me to just abandon a social media platform especially the one I was the most active on but for some reason, suddenly one day I just didn’t feel like I fit in on that platform anymore. It wasn’t anything in particular that happened or anyone said it was just a feeling I got and it put me off a little. I just haven’t really been as active on there and I am beginning to miss it. You used to always be able to find me tweeting my life away and chatting with people and I really need to get back onto there!

Do More By Myself | I know this sounds stupid at 21 but I rarely do things by myself it nearly always involves my sister coming along. We are both a little awkward and it kind of works but its time I push myself out of my comfort zone and try and get out some more by myself, even if its to get my weekly shopping, going to pick something up or going on a spontaneous walk! This is a pretty big goal for me and one that I’m really going to push myself towards.

Begin To Use Pinterest As A Way To Gain Traffic | Pinterest is a wonderful tool for bloggers providing you stick with it and these past few months I fell off the bandwagon with it and kind of neglected it! It was an amazing way to grow my traffic organically and the images would always make me so inspired on that platform. Time to get a plan of action and get back onto it!

Sort My Wardrobe | I have been pinning so much outfit inspiration on Pinterest and I have been saving each time I lose a pound I put some money away so each time I lose a stone I have some spending money to treat myself to some new clothes! I’m really bad at fashion because I’ve always been ‘what will hide my body’ when shopping for clothing but I have started to show an interest in fashion and I’m itching to ditch the stuff ive got and switch it for a fresh wardrobe full of clothing

I think that goals are a great motivation but make sure that if you don’t make every single goal then don’t beat yourself up about it. Sometimes other things come along and take priority but it’s nice to have a goal in mind, and idea of areas you want to improve and new ways to push yourself. Leave a comment below with one goal you are working towards!

Good luck with your goals! They can be really motivating, but try not to beat yourself up if you don’t make all of them. We can only try our hardest!

I’m having a massive moment where I’m lacking self-confidence, and I really want to lose some weight (especially after getting weighed the other day) I’ve also finally decided to put together some blogging goals…especially towards my engagement and follower count in an attempt to get my blog out there more. Congratulations on reaching your goals though! Hopefully, I’ll be slaying some of mine soon.
