I know I’m a little late with last months favourites but better late then never ey?! I’m making more of an effort to show a better spectrum of products I’ve been using so I thought I’d share my July favourites with you all so you can keep up to speed with what I’ve been loving and trying out recently!
La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Serum | LRP is one of my favourite brands because whenever I use their products I always see results. This has been a dream through summer for when the weather is boiling and my face is on fire. It’s an immediate rehydrating fill in gel concentrate and it keeps your skin cool and freshly hydrated all day. This will serve it’s purpose for my skin in Autumn and Winter too because my skin gets crazy dry!
TooFaced Sweet Peach Glow Palette* | If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that I dropped this little gem and I let out the worlds biggest scream as the panic of this being shattered flashed before me. Luckily when I went to inspect the only thing broken was the bronzer and it magically broke clean so I just had to pop the bronzer back into the slot and it was fine! Phew! Featuring a highlight, blush and a bronzer it’s a great palette for on the go and travelling but I’ve been using this none stop recently! (Plus it smells like peaches!).
Kathleen Facial Sonic Cleansing Device* | This little device is something I never knew I even needed until I had it! I’ve always been interested to know more about cleansing devices and this didn’t let me down! It speeds up my skincare routine so much more and it really feels amazing on the skin. It’s super easy to control with an on off button and a plus and minus to speed it up or slow it down depending on your preference. It’s totally waterproof meaning you can submerge it in water and in the shower and it feels really exfoliating on the skin too.
Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Radiant Primer | MUFE is a brand I have wanted to try more from for a while now so when I saw this in TKMaxx the other week I just had to pick it up. I never thought I would love it as much as I do! With a pearly pink colour it gives my skin a ‘glow from within’ look about it and really brightens up my complexion. It’s really made a great difference to my makeup application and has a moisturising feel to it whilst my foundation sits on top of this perfectly.
Tanya Burr Matte Lip – Martha Moo | I have been eyeing up these products for a while now and I won’t lie, I bought this because of the shade name but I adore the colour too! It’s a nude browny matte lip which lasts all day long and smells delicious! I find the shade very similar to Mac Brave!
La Girl Pro Coverage HD High Definition Foundation – White | I have been seeing loads about lightening drops and things and I have a few foundations that are one shades too dark and they were unusable because of the shade (my own fault for guessing my own shades!). So I decide to pick up a white foundation to try and save some money when I’m only going to use a little bit each time. I’m so chuffed that it works perfectly for me. Allows me to lighten my foundation, adds more coverage and it improves the finishes of my foundations. Really happy with this!
Kiehl’s Midnight Recover Concentrate | This product is going to last me a lifetime! I’ve had this quite a while now and I’ve been making more of a conscious effort to use it because the more I use it the more I remember I love it! I bought this back when I was curious about the whole facial oil hype and seriously, this stuff is heaven! It smells like lavender so it’s super calming too and the pipette dropper make it so easy to apply. My skin feels so fresh after using this over night and it works to restore the appearance of your skin by the morning. It’s a super lightweight oil, doesn’t clog my pores and my skin drinks this stuff like water!
Leighton Denny Base Coat | I never appreciated a good base coat until I discovered this gem in July! It’s a basecoat for all nail types and it keeps my nail polish on twice as long as when I don’t use this! It’s stopped any staining from pigmented polishes on my nails and I just apply a nice thin coat before painting my nails. Not to mention how beautiful the bottle is! In a frosted bottle
Leighton Denny High Performance Nail Colour – Plush Pink | I’ve been making a conscious effort to not bite my nails so much in July and I did really well and my nails have grown so good too! It’s made it more enjoyable to be able to paint my nails and plush pink is such a lovely summer hot pink and it lasts amazingly with no chipping! I can easily get a good two weeks wear out of this before it chips!
The English Soap Company – English Lavender | Lavender is such a nostalgic scent to me. It reminds me of being a child and when we used to visit my grandmas regularly she always had fresh lavender growing up the entire of her garden path. It was so pretty and smelled incredible and that’s what this soap takes me back to! It’s such a beautiful gift box with three rich shea butter soaps all beautifully wrapped. It’s all very traditional and there is something I love about that and I’m loving walking into my bathroom and smelling the fresh lavender scent over and over again!
Antipodes Apostle Skin Brightening Serum | This is probably my favourite skincare discovery to date. I love it so much and this is the product that developed my love for this brand. I have been using this none stop in July and my skin is looking better than ever in terms of a glowy complexion. When I first got this I was a little repulsed by the brown liquid to say the least but after smelling how fruity it smelt I realised it can’t all be that bad! So away I went with this beauty and it’s amazing for adding moisture to my skin, brightens. It contains anti oxidants and it’s anti inflammatory too. It feels like nothing at all on the skin and keeps me feeling fresh, hydrated and glowing!
That’s everything for my July favourites and boy has it been a busy month! I’m looking forward to settling down for the Autumn (seriously, you’d think I was a hedgehog or something! Let me hibernate!) and to see all the leaves on the trees changing! Let me know in the comments what you were loving in July.
