Nyx is a well favoured brand amongst the rather massive beauty community and if you’ve tried them you’ll know why! To celebrate Nyx launching in Debenhams they sent me some products to try out and let you guys know what I think of them! There is something for everyone when it comes to the range Nyx offers and is favoured by professionals too for their rich pigments and high quality products at affordable price ranges.
From the TODAY they will be launching the Contour Intuitive palette which will be exclusive to Debenhams. To celebrate the launch of Nyx hitting the shelves at Debenhams the face and eye sculpting palette features six velvety shadows, two highlighters and a blush and there will be three different styles! The NYX range at Debenhams is now available to shop!
Shine Killer* | My face gets some serious shine to it! Some foundations make my skin get extra oily on the t-zone but I actually really like the formulation so I really needed a good primer that could combat the shine with those foundations that were causing me problems. However, I find with a lot of mattifying primers they feel heavily silicone and I hate that feeling on my skin when it’s too thick and heavy and it feels like pure grease. Total turn off! This primer gives my skin that velvety feel that I want whilst still remaining fluid and light on my face and it stops the shine!
Strobe Of Genius Illuminating Palette* | Strobing has been all the rage this year and achieving that glowy look has been most peoples goals this year and I have an addiction to highlighters it seems! This palette features 7 beautiful highlighting shades that can be as subtle as you like or you can build that glow to a blinding highlight! Each shade is beautiful and highly pigmented and each highlight shade is so different! Across the top in the smaller pans we have a yellow gold, a pearly pink, a lilac lavender, a coral pink. In the three bigger pans from left to right there is a frosted gold, a copper bronze, a pearly champagne.
Ultimate Shadow Palette – Cool Neutrals* | The shadow palettes are something I’ve been wanting to try for a while now and this palette is so compact, great for on the go and features 16 matte and shimmer shades. The shadows are all highly pigmented and I have nothing negative to say at all! All of the shades compliment each other, they’re all different and there are so many different and unusual shades like the bright purple and the gorgeous navy teal you see in the swatches below. You have a great selection of matte base shades and so many cool colours to use to build up a look! There is no patchiness, they aren’t powdery and they blend like a dream!
Lingerie Liquid Lipstick – Exotic* | This is the most ‘me’ shade I think I have ever come across! It’s a brown nude with a terracotta undertone and it literally gives me life! I haven’t had this off my lips, I haven’t used a single other lipstick since I got this. THIS IS MY SHADE! Yessssss! It’s a little drying on the lips but nothing uncomfortable, I’m not sure if their formula has changed but this one works for me!
Liquid Suede – Downtown Beauty* | When I’ve spoken to people about the difference in the Suede’s to the Lingerie’s people said that their colour payoff was just as good but I was told they are more hydrating than the lingerie’s! I would say that is correct but both are still comfortable on the lips and both last a long time in terms of wear! The shade of this is a warm toned brown and you guys know I love my browns!
Soft Matte Lip Cream – Budapest* | I think Nyx is mostly recognised with bloggers for their Soft Matte Lip Creams! They have a huge range of shades that I’m slowly and surely building up my collection of! They have a lovely vanilla scent to them and Budapest is a stunning autumnal shade! It’s a pink/purple with a vampy feel to it! I’m in love!
Butter Gloss – Strawberry Parfait* | The butter glosses are a formula I haven’t tried before so I was really looking forward to trying out this gem! It’s a gorgeous sheer milky pink shade, lets go with strawberry milkshake kind of shade and it’s so pretty! It’s sheer and glossy and really hydrating on the lips! I’m impressed with the formula!
